Hello and welcome! My name is Janie and this is my little corner of cyberspace in which I share my musings on various and sundry. I am a native Floridian and Southern by the grace of God. I heart books, documentaries, almost anything British (Alan Rickman, Austen and Brontes, Top Gear, Rolling Stones, meat pies, royals, hats, BBC, spelling, etc.), and spicy food. I do not like mushrooms, traffic, mean people or going to the movies. I am a Catholic convert, having been raised on the opposite end of the Christian faith spectrum. I wish I could say I was one of those awesome stay-at-home-moms that have elaborate home-school set ups, ingenious crafts, and perfect rosy-cheeked kids, but I am on the opposite end of that spectrum, too.  June Cleaver I am not, much to my chagrin. I work at a full time job outside the home that I don’t hate and for which I am very grateful. I have a teenage son from a previous relationship in my youth and have been struggling with infertility throughout my marriage. I have a wonderful husband that puts up with me and encourages me with all of my hair-brained ideas and shenanigans. I am mediocre at most things with grandiose intentions. To sum it up, I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, but I have acquired lots of flaws and am learning as I go.

  1. Hi Janie! Thanks for your comment on my blog – I just checked yours out & love it already! My hubby and I have struggled with infertility too and I’m a convert as well (will read that story next) so it seems like we have a lot in common! Can’t wait to read more and would love to be blog buddies! 🙂

    • Awwww..thank you! I am new at this, but it has been pretty fun to meet (even if only virtually) really awesome people. There are a lot more converts than I thought and that really excites me. Looking forward to getting to know you better!

  2. Hey, thanks for following my pilgrimage!

Flaws are what give each of a uniqueness. I mean, if everyone were perfect, we’d all be the same. Thankfully, we are the same through the One who is perfect.
